Kathi – Registered Counselling Psychologist & Relationship Counsellor
Kathi has been a practising Psychologist for 20 years and is a member of the esteemed College of Counselling Psychologists. Kathi regularly supports clients with a broad range of issues including trauma, gambling and other addictions, depression, anxiety, anger management, postnatal depression and grief & loss. She is also a highly-skilled relationship and marriage counsellor, helping couples and families to communicate more effectively and resolve conflict.
Throughout her career, Kathi has worked in community-based organisations, private psychiatric hospitals and a major public hospital. She also has previous experience teaching trainee counsellors and psychologists at universities and training colleges.
Kathi mainly draws on Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Solution Focused Therapy with her clients. However, she is highly flexible in her approach, ensuring each session is tailored to suit the specific needs of her clients. She has a wide range of methodologies in her toolkit and will often draw on techniques such as Mindfulness, EMDR, and Person-Centred psychology.
